EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Douglas B. Meyers (Bizarro)
On May 7th, 2010, I had the pleasure of interviewing Douglas Barry Meyers who played Bizarro on the last three seasons of the The Adventures of Superboy series. The interview has been transcribed by Rennie Cowan of Superboy Theater Website.
A Big Thank You to Douglas B. Meyers for participating in the interview & Rennie Cowan for her work of transcibing the interview.
Here is a little sample from the interview:
Sam Rizzo: Looking back, you were on there for three seasons. You did eight episodes. Looking back, what was your favorite scenes; or scene from a particular episode that you did?
Douglas B. Meyers: One of my favorite scenes was -- and I couldn’t tell you about the name of the episodes. I mean as an actor, we just do the part and then move on. So it’s you the fans that remember more than we do. But as we were talking about it the other day, when I was on top of that roof talking to Superboy and at the very end…I was watching a clip of it the other day that someone put up there, I think it was Rennie, and at the very end I go (GROWLS like Bizarro) “LUTHOR!” and I remember very distinctly in my heart and in my soul -- my whole body just went out, when I screamed into the night air that I wanted to go get Luthor (growls lower this time) “LUTHOR…” and that was a very cool moment.

Allison Mack to Leave "Smallville"
EW.com's "Ausiello Files" reports that Allison Mack will not be returning as a series regular in Season 10 of "Smallville", but she won't be leaving the show completely.
"It's amazing to think that Chloe Sullivan and I have been one in the same for over a third of my life," says Mack in an exclusive statement. "I'm truly humbled by the love and loyalty of all the fans whose enthusiasm has carried me - along with a cast and crew which has become my second family - over the past 9 and a half years. Out of respect for the amazingly loyal fans and the place I will always have in my own heart for Chloe, I'm coming back for several episodes next season to tie up Chloe's Smallville legacy properly.
"It's been a life-changing ride," Mack concludes, "and I look forward to what lies ahead with the strength of a 'superhero' as my foundation."
It's unknown at this point in time just how many episodes Allison Mack will be appearing in next season.

Smallville Season 10 Is To Be the Last Season
According to The Ausiello Files, actor Tom Welling announced last night that the tenth season of "Smallville" will be its last. The official announcement is expected at the CW upfronts tomorrow. Welling made the announcement last night:
Discretion and restraint are clearly not among Tom Welling's superpowers.
The CW was hoping to announce at its upfront presentation Thursday that next season of Smallville - the show's 10th - would be its last. But Welling - who was expected to deliver said announcement in person - jumped the gun and blabbed it to the press last night.
"Season 10 of Smallville will be the last season," Welling told HollywoodLife.com last night at an event in Beverly Hills.

Superboy Will Be Getting His Own Comic Book
Jeff Lemire, along with artist Pier Gallo, will be launching a SUPERBOY ongoing series later this year, with a special, one-off co-feature debuting in the August issue of ACTION COMICS (#892), which will give fans a primer for the full series.
Jeff stated: "I am really excited to be taking over the adventures of Conner Kent/Superboy in a new monthly series! The book will combine many of the classic touchstones of the Superboy mythos along with new supporting characters, new villains and new ideas, building a strong foundation that can support the Boy of Steel for years to come. I really want to work with our amazing artist Pier Gallo to combine a classic storytelling feel with a thoroughly modern sensibility and explore what it would really be like to be a super powered teenager, in the heart of rural America."

Allison Mack Will Return to Smallville for Season 10?
According to EW.com's "Ausiello Files," Allison Mack will return to Smallville in Season 10.
Executive producer Brian Peterson tells me he's "very optimistic" the actress - who's in the thick of contract talks as we speak - will be bringing Chloe back next fall for the show's 10th season.
Asked whether it's essentially a done deal (which is what I'm hearing), Peterson says, "We've learned the hard way not to say [it's official] until everything is signed and dotted. So the best we can say is we're really optimistic. And so is Allison."
